The valley of Megiddo was the site of ancient wars. So too it is fitting that the battle of financial Armageddon be fought on the ancient battle fields of liberty and freedom at Gettysburg.
It is there where we will join forces to fight against the great adversary of truth: Glenn Beck and his hordes.
By a show of our strength he will see that love and trust and joy are better than hate and division and demagoguery.
The followers of freedom who value liberty and freedom above all will know that Ron Paul is our conscience and guide. Fearless in the face of opposition. Standing alone while all others mocked. Today is his day.

I don’t like Glenn Beck. Ron Paul is great. Have you read Ron Paul’s “Revolution” book? It woke me up about 1.5 years ago.
By the way, thanks for writing Way of the Turtle. It’s great. I’m gonna try coding up some strategies and compare my statistics (for all those commodities and currencies you used) with what you got, to make sure my code is right. But since my capital is limited, I guess I’ll eventually trade in stocks instead of those futures. Those futures are way too expensive for the common person. Do you also trade in stocks using your strategies?
What’s your deal with Glenn beck? Not sure I’m following what you are saying.
I agree with you on Ron Paul. Have been a supporter of him and his ideas for some time. I am glad to see that people are beginning to wake up and his ideas are becoming more mainstream. You wrote positively about Paul on your unitedinthestates blog, but at that time your efforts were focused on supporting Obama. Paul’s ideas of limited government and liberty are very different than Obama’s, and most Republicans and Democrats for that matter. Do you still support the Obama agenda? If not, the evolution of your ideas/perspective would be interesting to read. Keep up the good work!
Why foil Paul against Beck? Why not some other partisan entertainer (that’s what Beck is after all) like Olbermann, who’s fiscal views truly fly in the face of conservatism? Paul, the Libertarian, and Beck, the Conservative, may disagree on social policy, but fiscally, they probably have better alignment than any number of other visible partisan rabble rowsers you could have chosen to call out.
The opposite of the lie is not partial truth but the whole truth. Since no one individual has the whole truth, we need to foil a demagogue who cares nothing at all for the truth, with one who speaks the whole truth as he sees it.
Ron Paul is one such man. There are others. But for the cause of freedom there is no braver man, nor greater leader, than Ron Paul.
LOVE to see Ron Paul in the White House! He could put America back on course towards getting back to greatness, and true freedom. Conversely, if we continue to ALLOW extremists and total idiots to vote, we will get what we have been getting for the last two decades… A direct course towards socialsim which has never worked, and never will. Gotta agree with Curtis. Ron Paul would be a TRUE leader! I’d even go so far as to say Ron Paul would be better than Ronald Reagan…

Humm, if the opposite of a lie is not partial truth but the whole truth, then what is evasion of the real truth?
I don’t see how Ron Paul’s ideas have anything to do with love, trust or joy. He’s just proposing massive selfishness and letting those who were screwed over by wall st. and political crooks fend for themselves and die of starvation.
Ron Paul is consistent. I don’t think all his ideas are good ones but he tells the truth as he sees it from his point of view and for that he deserves our respect.
I happen to believe that he would not make a good U.S. President because he does not have the respect of the public or other politicians.
You can’t have real trust without truth. People don’t trust governments because they lie and lying is so pervasive that it is not even considered bad form.
